As a UCR University Extension student, you have several options for housing depending on your length of stay, interests, and preferences. During your stay here in sunny Southern California, you will maximize your cultural exchange, gain local insight, improve your English, and learn about American culture. Whether you want to stay with an American family to fully absorb the typical day-to-day lifestyle, or live in an apartment to experience campus life and meet students from the U.S., your experience will provide a plethora of opportunities to understand and engage in American culture.

Please note that housing options fill quickly, and we recommend applying for housing at least 60 days prior to your preferred move-in date to allow time for processing and preparation of the apartment.

INTERNATIONAL VILLAGE

Live and learn in a global student community that is within walking distance to UCR University Extension and UCR buildings and facilities. International Village residents can select from fully furnished studio apartments or single or double rooms within a shared apartment.

Off-Campus Housing

HOMESTAY

Student RoomStay provides you the opportunity to live with a local family, experience American culture, and practice English in a home environment. Homestay students can select private or share rooms, meal packages, airport transportation, and weekly transportation to and from UCR or UCR University Extension.

APARTMENTS

There are several apartments located near the UCR and UCR University Extension campuses. Please note that UCR does not work directly with these apartment complexes. Students interested in living in off-campus apartments should contact each apartment complex individually, and carefully read through the lease terms and conditions before signing any agreements.
