F-1 Student Visa and I-20 Form

Application Deadline: We recommend you apply as early as possible, so that you have enough time to apply for a visa, make travel and housing arrangements, and arrive in time for orientation. When Your English Level is Not High Enough to Take a Postgraduate, Master's Pathway, APP, or UCP Program

If you are applying to a UCR University Extension program that requires advanced English, you should submit a TOEFL score when you apply for your program. Even though you may receive direct entry into a program with an official TOEFL score or equivalent, you will still be required to take an assessment test.

If you do not have the minimum English skills for your program of choice, you may join an English language program until you have sufficient English skills for an advanced program.

Attending UCR University Extension if You Are Under the Age of 18

All of our programs have a minimum age requirement. If you are under 18, and you want to attend an English language program, your parent or legal guardian must give you permission to attend.

UCR University Extension requires the parent or legal guardian of any student under the age of 18 to sign a Parental Release Form. Students under the age of 18 years old are minors in the United States. To avoid delays in processing your program application, make sure you submit the Parental Release Form with your program application.

Attending UCR University Extension as an Undergraduate or Graduate Student

Admission to International Education Programs does not constitute admission to the University of California degree programs. Email Undergraduate Admissions or Graduate Division for more information.
