About the Course
Learn about this designated National Natural Landmark and other dormant volcanoes that stretch across the desert in this one-day geology lesson. Participants will experience endless lava fields and learn about the formation of the swiss-cheese-like appearance of the rock as they hike the 4-mile round trip to the rim of the crater and back.
Students can expect to learn about the fundamentals of geology formations and lava fields at the crater.
