Strategic management trends point to an increasingly dynamic and digitalized global business environment. Companies that invest in technology, sustainability, data analysis, and agile methodologies will have a greater capacity for adaptation and growth. This graduate-level course focuses on developing skills in strategic thinking, planning, and execution within a dynamic and uncertain global and technology-driven environment, while also emphasizing innovation, adaptability, and ethical leadership. It blends both traditional and emerging models, frameworks, tools, and topics in strategic management with the strategic application of AI, data analytics, and other emerging data-driven tools in decision-making, entrepreneurship, and operations. Students will better understand how strategy works in real businesses facing fast-changing technologies, sustainability demands, and financial and global pressures. Exploring their own strategic thinking, students will gain grounding in the current and emerging strategic management models and frameworks and how AI shapes decision-making using real world cases studies, scenario-based learning, applied data analytics, and project-based learnings. The course culminates with a capstone consulting project that challenges students in demonstrating mastery across strategy, data, leadership, and innovation using data metrics, predictive analytics, and digital platforms to design strategies that enhances organizational performance. By the end of the course, students will be better equipped with AI-powered analytical tools and techniques to make evidence-based decisions as well as prepare them to lead teams and organizations in adopting AI responsibly in dynamic, global, data-driven environments.
