About the Course
The Global Marketing in an AI-Powered World course is designed to introduce students to the dynamic, evolving field of marketing across an international digital landscape, where Generative AI and Deep Learning models drive trends in platforms, targeting and engagement, and content. This course explores the current state of the industry, looking at how past tech explosions have led to the present-day evolution, and what that means for today’s marketers. Students will build their acumen with practical hands-on methodologies and tools for marketing success for the here and now, as well as learn critical thinking and readiness skills for adapting to future rapid changes. Taught by industry practitioners, it is designed for individuals who want to learn about marketing from a seasoned, macro perspective, as well as learn some of the core practical hands-on skillsets needed for success in marketing sub-fields such as digital marketing, social media marketing, brand management, consumer research and engagement, data analytics, and strategic communications. Students will walk away from this course being better prepared to collaborate with marketing and communications teams, or lay the foundation for their careers in marketing. Coursework will feature real-time case studies of current brands, data-driven strategies, and GenAI exploration, all in support of generating a marketing plan for a brand of the student-team’s choice.
