About the Course
History and present form of the San Andreas Fault between San Bernardino and Palmdale. Surface features caused by seismic activity, such as faceted ridges, shutter ridges, closed depressions, offset streams and sag ponds, and the trenches across the San Andreas at Pallett Creek that provide a record of past earthquakes and allow a three-dimensional view of the fault.
