Topics covered include: purpose and mission of mathematics education; knowing mathematics versus knowing mathematics for teaching; differentiation strategies for diverse learners in the teaching of mathematics; investigating various strategies of instruction; instructional technology; mathematics assessments, rubrics, and grading; designing engaging lessons aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
