About the Course
The MMC Academy is designed for those working to attain their Master Municipal Clerk designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. The curriculum has been created to meet the interests and technical training needs of more tenured and experienced professional clerks. This course is part of a multi-year requirement for professional education and community service that is a requirement for Certified Municipal Clerks to received this more advanced designation. Content includes mechanics of local government, professional norms and ethics, technology, meeting administration, local government finance, negotiation skills, resolving conflict, team/group decision making, mentoring and management.
