About the Course
This course focuses on identifying threats to the agriculture and food infrastructure and defining historical and current approaches to defend and respond to unintentional and intentional contamination of the food supply. It will also focus on research, development, and implementation of new methods and tools to prevent biological threats to agriculture and the food supply.
- Define the various elements of agriculture and food infrastructure requiring biosecurity.
- Describe the historical and current approaches to safeguarding this key infrastructure.
- Describe various methods to diagnose, surveil, prevent, and respond to threats to agriculture and food supply.
Although there are no prerequisites for this course, it is recommended that students take course BIOL X461 prior to completing this course to ensure success.
