About the Course
This course provides students tools for communicating when the stakes are high and for compelling others to be accountable. Students will learn to help others feel understood while still getting their point and perspective across. Participants will learn to handle disagreements and high-stake conversations in any situation, including careers, relationships, and in their communities. This course is designed to discuss the step-by-step process to strengthen workplace accountability, improve performance gaps, eliminate inconsistency, and review execution. Participants will learn how to talk about violated expectations while problem-solving to strengthen relationships. Through this course, participants will discuss objectives before, during, and after the confrontation.
- Prepare for crucial conversations by first examining motives, challenging assumptions, and empathizing with others.
- Create an emotionally safe environment for themselves and others by appropriately de-escalating situations.
- Tactfully communicate their needs and expectations in a manner that is welcomed by others.
- Identify the concern of utmost priority and how to address it.

- Encourage accountability by making it motivating and not relying on power tactics.
