Cannabis Extraction and Product Development Specialist

This program serves as a thorough training to the job role of the Cannabis Extraction and Product Development Specialist. There are three main units to this program. In the first unit, learners begin with Cannabis Industry Fundamentals. This is a great introduction to this program, as the industry has many nuances throughout the supply chain and Unit 1 will explore this. In the second unit, learners will explore Extraction and Product Development. We will examine cannabis input nomenclature, the importance of pheno-hunting, decarboxylation, and an overview of cannabis extracts. We then will discover the three main extraction methods today, being solventless solutions, alcohol dominant extraction, and sub and supercritical fluids. Lastly, we will identify various product development processes including; tinctures, topicals, infused chocolate, infused gummies, and nanoemulsions. In our third and final unit we focus on compliance and operations. training. We will cover topics like facility maintenance, transporting cannabis, security, tracking inventory, record keeping, pest control, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
