About the Course
This program serves as a thorough training to the job role of the Cannabis Retail Specialist. There are three main units to this program. In the first unit, learners begin with Cannabis Industry Fundamentals. This is a great introduction to this program, as the industry has many nuances throughout the supply chain and Unit 1 will explore this. In the second unit, we will dive into specific skills-based training in cannabis retail by exploring the product knowledge and customer service of retail cannabis. Specifically, we will look at how the cannabis works in our bodies, delivery methods, cannabinoids, terpenes, and the Endocannabinoid System are examined. Learners will analyze the various delivery cannabis products used in today’s market, as well be able to identify proper dosing and titration protocols for patients. Then a discovery of what to cover when onboarding new patients that considers the interactions, contradictions, and potential side effects. In our third and final unit we focus on compliance and operations training. We will cover topics like receiving and transport, best security procedures, inventory tracking, the importance of documentation and recordkeeping, product safety, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
