About the Course
Introduction to the integral calculus of functions of one variable. For Life Sciences majors.
This course will prepare students to:
- Definite Integrals
- Review the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus
- Understand Cumulative Change
- Find the Volume of a Solid (Disk and Washer Methods)
- Integration by Parts and Practicing Integration
- Solve Rational Functions and Partial Fractions
- Solve Improper Integrals
- Use Trigonometric Integrals and Substitution
- Solving Separable Differential Equations
- Determine Equilibria and Their Stability
- Use Differential Equation Models
Students must have taken high school mathematics. MATH 007A with a grade of C- or better or MATH 009A with a grade of C- or better or MATH 09HA with a grade of C- or better.
