About the Course
The Cannabis Agriculture & Horticulture sequence elaborates upon the entire cultivation process, highlighting the life cycles of the cannabis plant, optimal planting techniques, and how to treat and handle the plant after harvesting. During the first course, learners discover the Vegetative Cycle of the Cannabis Plant, including botany, genetics, seed germination and transplanting, asexual propagation, and factors to consider when developing a hospitable growth environment, including soil, growing media, light sources, and watering essentials. Learners begin the certificate final project during Week 1 of this course, specializing in an indoor or outdoor track and simulating a grow site with either industrial hemp or Urtica dioica at home.
