About the Course

This course introduces learners to the historical perspectives of statutory and administrative law as it pertains to medicinal and recreational cannabis and industrial hemp. Learners in the cohort collectively explore professional conduct (offering legal advice, determining reasonable fees, policy for legalization and decriminalization at the federal, state, and local level), licenses and permits, commercial law and professional liability (corporate shield protection, sale and regulations and statutes, Section 280E, bank risks, business entities); contracting with vendors; banking accounting, and tax law; insurance law (liability, product recall and withdrawal, consumer production).
