About the Course

A three-day weekend conference where educators experience strategies to increase student understanding of their creative abilities, based on ideas from the natural world and specifically, Joshua Tree National Park. Topics include: elements of a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics (STEAM) mindset; cultivating creativity and curiosity; elements of place-based learning; applying the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and other state requirements; and applying the Environmental Principles & Concepts (EP&Cs). You will also explore strategies to support learner inquiry, agency, and action.
