About the Course
A citizen science opportunity to learn about restoration, natural vegetation succession, and monitoring techniques in the Mojave Desert. You will collect vegetation data on a restoration project of a post-fire landscape in Joshua Tree National Park. Understand desert restoration techniques and field monitoring methods; observe post-fire vegetation succession, fertile islands, and nurse plant relationships; and become familiar with desert vegetation through plant identification.
