About the Course
The workplace is constantly evolving and requiring new skills from those entering it. To succeed in the workplace, young professionals must not only be equipped with job specific knowledge but with basic interpersonal skills and professionalism. This course is designed to help foreign exchange students understand how culture and current workplace trends impact his/her professional journey. This course will explore soft skills such as listening, flexibility and empathy in order to identify weaknesses in these areas and create growth opportunities. Learn how to leverage the use of social media to create a professional rapport in the workplace, how to successfully work in a team environment, appropriately write a resume, cover letter, and thank you letter, and successfully participate in a face-to-face, telephone, or web-based interview, and develop and practice presentation skills.
