About the Course
Provides background and practice in classroom observation, evidence gathering, data analysis, conversation, and instructional feedback leading to changes and improvement in classroom instruction. Additional course activities include readings, simulations, video analysis, case studies, and group processing. Following observation and evidence gathering, you engage in coaching and other data-driven professional activities. Topics aligned to the California Performance Expectations for Administrators and the Model Code of Ethics for Educators.

Admission to Riverside County Office of Education’s Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program.
Meet at least one of the following:
- Hold a valid California clear or life teaching credential requiring a bachelor’s degree and a program of professional preparation, including student teaching;
- A valid California clear or life Designated Subjects Teaching Credential, provided the holder also possesses a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally-accredited college or university;
- A valid clear or life California Pupil Personnel Services Credential, Teacher Librarian Services Credential, Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential, Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential, or a School Nurse Services Credential, requiring a bachelor’s degree and a program of professional preparation including filed practice or the equivalent.
