About the Course
Designed for individuals who want to create visual and innovative communication solutions using graphic elements. Workshop topics and hands-on activities focus on fundamental design production processes; the role of the professional visual communicator; sign unification of diverse elements; color theory; and typography. Learn how basic design concepts and software interface to create an effective and efficient design environment. Production will include graphic collaterals focused on the web and print media. A capstone project displaying a comprehensive layout and design project is required upon completion. Includes an introduction to the primary Adobe design software programs. Delivered in a hybrid format, combining in-class and online instruction.
Students should have a working knowledge of the PC or MAC computer platforms in terms of file management, folder creation, and general platform navigation.
