This is a high intermediate level English class in which you will continue to develop your reading, writing, speaking, listening, and grammar skills. You will learn strategies to improve communication skills around daily events and worldwide issues. Course topics may include:

  • life events
  • job skills and preferences
  • landmarks and places
  • entertainment
  • non-verbal communication
  • laws and customs
  • problems

You will also learn strategies to increase your control with more difficult grammatical structures, understand more complicated, authentic texts, and write paragraphs on a variety of topics.

Dr. Baker specializes in delivering effective second language instruction in online environments, and in using technology in ESL classrooms.
