Implement Intelligent Transportation Strategies
Gain an introduction to sustainable transportation while examining the movement of both passengers and goods. Understand the impacts on the community, and learn about different sustainable transportation solutions and how to mitigate community impacts. These pathways will enable you to find and implement intelligent transportation strategies in our local area that you can demonstrate how the health of the community is improved, and create new start-up industries in an area that needs the solutions the most.
The elements covered in this course will span the disciplines of business, science, and engineering to prepare you with sought after skills that are normally only gained after years into a career. Upon completion, you will be fully prepared to enter the workforce as an entrepreneur with a broad knowledge of sustainable transportation solutions.
This cost-free program is offered in partnership with the Bourns College of Engineering, the Center for Environmental Research and Technology and UCR's Office of Technology Partnerships.

Total Units 6 Units
- How to become an entrepreneur promoting technologies based in sustainable transportation
- Work with mentors to develop plans for your own startup company
- Apply for a chance to win up to $20,000 to further develop your product idea and access additional accelerator resources provided by Office of Technology Partnerships
- Develop a network of peers and collaborators to advance your career
- Entrepreneurs or individuals thinking of start a career or business in the transportation industry.
Individuals
- Applicant must be over 17 years old, with a good command of the English language
- It's recommended that participants should be familiar with basic science fundamentals (math, biology, and chemistry), equivalent to 2nd year undergraduate level
- Applicant must be based in the United States, and attend in class sessions at the University of California, Riverside and nearby laboratories
- Applications must be submitted online via the application link on the Office of Technology Partnerships' page. Applications submitted via any other manner will not be considered. No exceptions.
